

The Challenge
GLOW by dm is a consumer fair that takes place twice a year in major German cities. This time, the multi-day beauty convention was held in Dortmund. The exhibition primarily targets teenagers and young adults. The concept is a blend of live experience, entertainment event, and a showcase for partners from the cosmetics and beauty industry. When it came to live experiences, our know-how and expertise were in demand. At the Wilkinson booth, a real photoshoot location was recreated. Professional photographers captured cover portraits of guests on-site.
Instant Printing
The photos taken were wirelessly transferred directly to a PC in the stand's back office, where they were processed through photo editing software before being automatically placed into the “jolie” cover overlay. A special printer then printed the image on high-quality paper in the respective “jolie” magazine format. This allowed each participant to experience what it feels like to appear on a “jolie” cover. The personalized cover was wrapped around the current issue of “jolie” by promoters, creating a unique giveaway.
Selfie Box with Contest
For those who didn't want to wait for their photoshoot, our selfie corners were a fun alternative. The exciting part: there was no “live screen” where you could see yourself beforehand. Perforated photo paper was used for the prints. On the detachable strip, a contest was included along with participation terms.
Conclusion
To ensure everyone knew about this unique action, the finished covers were displayed on monitors at the booth in a slideshow. This drew in young visitors from afar, resulting in high visitor traffic.
